Last week, nine students from BMHS were notified about being inducted into the National Education Equity Honor Society. The National Education Equity Lab provides students in higher poverty schools with the opportunity to take college courses through major colleges and universities, including Ivy League Schools. Last year, Blue Mountain High School students were enrolled in Essentials of Personal Finance through the University of Pennsylvania. Students scoring in the top 15% in the nation in this course were selected. The following students are being inducted today: Colin Caviness, Averi Chills, Shaddai Galvez, Cathy Jovel, Angie Portillo, Iralyn Rakestraw, Alayna Riley, Clayton Thurmond, and Zyla White.
